I finally have some summer plans.  Yay!  I'm going to Chicago for the July 4th weekend.  It should be a really fun trip.  A little drum corps, a little shopping, a little culture-- it's right up my alley!  It will be quick, but I can't wait to get away.  Usually I am the first one to pick up and go, but with gas the way it is now, I've been staying pretty close to home. 

I'm getting back into fall guard mode.  I did the last day of guard camp and it went really well.  We got lots of things accomplished.  If Friday is any indication, they will have a great season.  (karma cap!)

Also on the horizon is a trip to a drum corps show or two.  When we can carpool, it won't be terrible.  Then comes band camp and maybe a couple of surprises.  I'm finally excited about summer!  :)
